Wedding in Tuscany!
So happy to be meeting up again with my Parisian lovers for the second part of their wedding, this time in Tuscany! What a terrible job I have, even being a French wedding photographer, I still get invited to amazing places abroad.
It had been a year since their elopment at their Parisian town hall, so everyone was very much looking forward to meeting up again for the big party in Florence! A massive old villa with gardens filled with cypress trees, statues and a swimming pool, what more could you ask for? Well, some tears! I think this wedding was the one where I cried the most this season. I mean don’t get me wrong, I am a cryer. But these guys took it to a whole other level.
The weather had been pretty bad for a couple of days and wedding day was no exception. Repetitive storms had Monica, the wedding planner from Wedding Italy, decide to move the dinner from the outside spot that had been chosen, to the veranda. The outdoor wedding ceremony also had to be moved to a later starting time so as to avoid the rain, and Juliette, the bride, had to let go of her hope of keeping the bottom of her beautiful Margaux Tardits wedding dress clean.
A super emotional outdoor ceremony
Yann and Juliette met in unusual circumstances and have had to prove their love to their friends and families. However at the ceremony nobody could have guessed that, as there was so much love shared by their close ones, families and friends. As if to say that they apologised for not having faith in them. Yann was extremely touching, never letting go of Juliette’s arm during the whole ceremony. Yann’s daughter also kept looking at Juliette with eyes filled with love. Their little 9 month old also looked so cute in his little suit. The different speeches and surprises also added to the overwhelming emotion that could be felt throughout. I would say that the cry fest moment for me was when Yann’s father in law, who raised him after his mum passed away, gave his speech. A super poignant moment.
The location was simply magical. It’s difficult to go wrong with a wedding in Tuscany and guests that were happy to celebrate from start to finish. But what will stay with me is the infinite love these two share, throughout the obstacles they lived through, throughout trauma, together against the world.
You enjoyed this Tuscany wedding but would like to see more French weddings?
