A PARIS DESTINATION WEDDING
She’s French, he is american, sounds like the start of a movie. Except the movie would probably see them elope in front of the Eiffel tower or something along those lines.
But these two wanted a nice daytime wedding with all their guests, at the Musée de Montmartre, and had planned on an early end, by French wedding standards. But that was not counting on friends who had decided to keep the party going.
The wedding day celebrations started at Maison Souquet, an exclusive boutique hotel situated close to Montmartre and where the boys started the day with a strange mix of coffee and rosé. The bride got ready at her parents place near the Champs Elysées.
The rest of wedding day would, however, take place in Montmartre. Church was just behind the Sacré Coeur and a short stroll away from Musée de Montmartre where wedding reception was to happen.
I love a laid back wedding where the bride and groom are just enjoying their guests and this was one of them. Once we were done with couple photos around the neighbourhood, they spent an afternoon of laughter, dances, pinata and of course, champagne and cake!

A friend of the newlyweds welcomed them upon church exit with a nice bagpipe show. Soon enough he was leading the way to the Musée de Montmartre where the wedding reception was taking place.

A GARDEN RECEPTION, FRENCH WEDDING STYLE
These two had planned an end to the wedding at 11pm, when the museum closes. But the joy and celebrations were not to end there and they followed me to the neighbourhood dive bar where they could celebrate as late as they chose. A nice local end to a beautiful Montmartre wedding.
